Tico Lingo is proud to partner with Westminster University, an accredited U.S. institution serving as our official School of Record. This partnership allows students to earn official U.S. university transcripts and academic credit for their Spanish studies in Costa Rica.
Through this collaboration, Westminster University has approved and validated Tico Lingo’s Spanish language courses for higher education credit, ensuring academic rigor and international recognition. Students of all proficiency levels benefit from personalized instruction, immersive cultural experiences, and the assurance that their coursework meets U.S. academic standards.
Our admissions team also works closely with faculty leaders and study abroad offices to help students pre-approve credit at their home universities.

This accreditation allows German citizens to apply for paid educational leave from work in order to attend our Spanish immersion programs in Costa Rica.
Thanks to this certification, Tico Lingo can welcome German professionals who wish to combine career development with cultural immersion and intensive language study. Our staff assists with the application process to ensure a smooth experience from start to finish.
