Spanish Classes

Spanish classes are crafted to engage students at every level, fostering confidence and practical language skills they can apply throughout their stay in Costa Rica and beyond. With facilities that comfortably accommodate groups of up to 30 students, our team collaborates with you to design the Spanish component of your program, tailored to your learners’ specific needs, interests, and goals. Classes are led by our experienced and dedicated Spanish professors, who bring years of teaching expertise and a passion for sharing Costa Rican culture.

Local Homestay Family Accommodation

Staying with a local homestay family offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Costa Rican language, culture, food, and hospitality. Tico Lingo partners with over 40 welcoming families in Heredia, carefully selecting hosts to best match each group’s needs. Families can accommodate between 1 to 4 students per home, providing daily breakfast and dinner, weekly laundry service, Wi-Fi, and a key for flexible comings and goings. Before arrival, students receive photos of their host family and bedroom, along with their homestay address and WhatsApp contact so they can say “hola!” before departing for Costa Rica.  

Full Immersion Experience: Host families engage students in daily conversations, helping them practice Spanish in real-life situations, which accelerates language acquisition.

Safe and Supportive Environment: Each family is carefully vetted to ensure a safe, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere where students can feel at home.

Cultural Enrichment Activities: Many host families enjoy sharing local customs, recipes, and traditions, giving students a deeper understanding of Costa Rican culture.

Flexible Living Arrangements: We can arrange for specific room setups, including single or shared rooms, depending on the group’s preferences and individual student needs.

Orientation and Support: Upon arrival, students receive an orientation to help them settle in, including tips for making the most of their homestay experience.
