How Do CEUs Apply to Spanish Learning?

When you study Spanish at Tico Lingo in an immersive environment, you’re completing structured hours of instruction combined with real-world practice. This means you’re not only learning grammar and vocabulary in the classroom, but also actively using Spanish in everyday situations like conversations with your host family, ordering food, navigating the city, and participating in cultural activities — all in español.

Your program includes a set number of instructional hours each week, which makes your experience eligible to be recognized as continuing education. Instead of your learning going undocumented, CEUs allow you to turn your immersion experience into something official and measurable. You leave not only with improved fluency and confidence, but also with formal recognition of the time you invested in learning Spanish.

Who Accredits the CEUs?

Through Tico Lingo’s partnership with Colorado State University Pueblo, your learning can be formally recognized with CEUs, giving you both practical language skills and documented educational credit.

Colorado State University Pueblo is an accredited public university in the United States. Its Extended Studies division provides continuing education opportunities designed for professional development, lifelong learning, and skill-building outside of traditional degree programs.

After completing your Spanish immersion program, students have the option to register directly with CSU Pueblo to receive official CEU documentation based on the number of hours completed during their time at Tico Lingo.

This ensures that your experience is backed by a recognized institution and can be confidently included in your academic or professional portfolio.
